“Why would the ocean look for a cup of saltwater?” – anonymous spiritual teacher
There is a wonderful story of a Zen master that encountered a very motivated student who was brimming with spiritual ambition. When the student asked how to become enlightened, the master gave him some daily practices.
The student then asked, âhow long will it take before I am enlightened?â
The master looked at him for a few moments and replied, âFor you, 10 years.â
The student then replied, âBut what if I do these exercises twice as long every day?â
The master paused and then replied, âThen it will take you 20 years.â
When I first heard this story, I couldnât help but laugh. …

The entrepreneur in me can’t help but get excited about the intersection of consciousness and business, and PsyMed Ventures hit the spot.Â
Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.
It’s abundantly clear that we are experiencing a massive increase in consciousness amongst our respective societies and cultures. Many spiritual people get very enthusiastic about discussing the “global awakening” or “move to the fifth dimension.”
I have no idea about the reality of these things. I am just genuinely excited that it appears that more people are interested in the inner path to greater levels of peace, joy, creativity, and wisdom that comes with the expansion of consciousness.
With this shift, we will need new technologies and services that are better suited to ushering in and supporting these changes …

âHow do you overcome your struggles to meditate? How do you stick with it? Iâve tried and canât seem to make it a part of my lifeâ
Iâve gotten this question 3 times in the past week from friends. Iâm taking it as a sign that perhaps itâs time to share some public thoughts on the struggles to meditate.
I documented the evolution of my 10-year meditation journey a few weeks ago. If you read it, youâll see that life forced me to become a devoted meditator. Initially, this was by threatening me with the prospect of becoming a 25 year old guy with alopecia and no eyebrows. Then years later, my startup stress rollercoaster led to a mini panic attack which finally made …

I wanted to share a concrete example of my own experience of how unconscious self-sabotage likely cost me millions of dollars. By writing about this maybe someone out there will see themselves in the story.
Iâm in this text group with a bunch of successful startup founders and recently a question came up around what your biggest investment mistake was?
There were lots of interesting stories and anecdotes which all brought a lot of collective comfort to everyone that they werenât alone in their mistakes.
What I kept thinking about was why these scenarios happened to everyone including myself?
Most people write them off as bad luck, ignorance, or poor decision making, but I think thereâs a lot more going on here as Iâve alluded to …

Did you know that every mammal including humans produces Endogenous DMT naturally in their bodies? The same can be said for 1,000âs of plants.
Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.
I wanted to make sure you knew this before anyone wrote this off as a psychedelics or âdrugsâ conversation which is often the cultural association with DMT.
Right now there is a massive disconnect between mystical experiences and the world of Science. The gap is closing, but it often still feels like thereâs these two camps of people who speak in different languages.
Mystics point to their undeniable realities and scientists look to that which they can measure and prove in the physical realm. I relate to this deeply because I have lots of âscienceyâ friends and our …

This is probably going to piss some people off.
âFirst figure out who you are and then figure out what you want to do.â -my spiritual teacher
This was the spiritual advice my teacher gave me a few years ago.
It wasnât until about a year ago that I began to grasp greater depths of what she meant by this statementâŚweâll come back to this.
This article is probably going to piss a lot of dedicated manifesters off. But itâs my truth, so be it đ¤ˇââď¸
If youâve been doing a manifesting practice and itâs working for you with the consistency and effectiveness that you desire, by all means keep doing it! Thatâs amazing and Iâm genuinely happy for you.
If not, you might find this perspective interesting.

The past 2.5 years are the first time Iâve struggled with my health in my life, and the American food quality may be one of the causes.
Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.
Itâs been incredibly difficult and you donât really appreciate the adage âif you have your health, you have everythingâ until you donât have it. Thankfully I have been feeling lots of vitality over the past few months that I wasnât sure Iâd ever get back.
One of my closest friends, Justin Mares, knows more about health than just about anyone I know. Heâs built 3 food companies in Kettle & Fire, Perfect Keto, and Surely Wines which gives him unique insight into how the stuff we put into our bodies is actually made. Now he is working on a …

âWhat consciousness business ideas or opportunities do you think exist in this space?âÂ
This question came up on a great group call I was on last week in the PAUA community started by Loic Le Meur which I highly recommend to anyone interested in the intersection of consciousness, ancient wisdom, business, and technology.
Iâve thought a lot about the intersection of business and consciousness and have created a few different frameworks on how to identify opportunities to create products & services that the world needs.
The Undeniable Increased Interest In Expanded Consciousness
Probably most humans have thought that the particular time they were living in was the most exciting time it’s ever been to be a human.
I certainly feel like that right now because of the rapidly increasing …
