Brain Implants and Spirituality Similarities with Joe Allen

by Scott

Let me start off by saying that I have zero interest in participating in putting Brain Implants or implanting some type of technology into my body in order to alter or enhance the way in which I experience the world.

Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.

That being said, I do think it’s important to understand what is going on. This is clearly going to be a big thing in our lifetimes that will vastly impact culture and society and I’d rather be informed.

A few weeks ago someone had recommended SINGULARITY WEEKLY to me. As I started to educate myself, I was startled to see how much progress has been made and the number of prominent world leaders advocating for the merging of man and machine.

I wanted to understand …

Meditation Changes: How My Practice Has Changed In 10 Years

by Scott

I had no idea what I was getting into, truly. As my inner experience has evolved, how I view my meditation has changed significantly.

January 2014, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil – 25 year old me meditating and then posting a thirst trap on Instagram.

“F*$k! This can’t be happening!”

My meditation journey all started in 2013 when I woke up with a large bald spot in my beard stubble about the size of a quarter. A few years earlier, my cousin had lost all the hair on his body in his 30’s from alopecia. So as a 24 year old man, I was freaking out at the prospect of a similar fate and began ruminating on how I was now destined die bald …

Treating Spiritual Emergency in Healthcare With Daniel Ingram

by Scott

It can be quite frustrating to be experiencing something unfamiliar that our medical system doesn’t have an answer for, such as treating spiritual emergencies. Unfortunately, I know from experience as documented here!

Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.

This is very common with many “spiritual”, “mystical”, “energetic”, etc. experiences and their side effects, which are often referred to as emergent phenomena.

A few months ago I was delighted to discover the The Emergent Phenomenology Research Consortium. The EPRC is a group of 180+ researchers, scientists, medical, therapy, and spiritual professionals that are trying to tackle the hard problem of gathering data and research on the large catalogue of emergent phenomena experiences that humans may face and the efficacy of the different protocols for handling or treating spiritual emergency.

Daniel Ingram is one …

Responsive Reality: The Key to Living a Miraculous Life

by Scott

I’d like to shoutout my friend Mark Krassner who I have discussed the concept of a responsive reality with at length. I’m not sure who said the term first, but it beautifully encompasses something I have been wanting to write about for a long time.

“You create your reality”

You often hear this phrase thrown around in our culture by everyone from people pushing the “grind, it’s all up to you” lifestyle like Jocko Willink to spiritual pundits like Deepak Chopra.

Like many common sayings there is a much deeper meaning here than most realize.

Over the past few years my perception of this adage and the nature of reality has evolved in a big way. For most of my life, I had a self deterministic view of reality. We …

Must Watch: Energetic Holes, Psychedelics & Ancient Apocalypse

by Scott

A metaphor and conversation no one is having. Embark on a journey through the realms of energetic holes, psychedelics, and ancient apocalypse

I found the Netflix show Ancient Apocalypse entertaining for about 2 episodes.

I genuinely think Graham Hancock is on to something, but also kind of feel like we get it; humans and advanced civilizations were around longer than popular institutions acknowledge…shocker!

In the 2nd episode they were visiting the ancient site of Texcotzingo. I couldn’t help but think about how the site itself was a powerful metaphor for the process of spiritual awakening. I made this video relating the episode to my own experience of this process.

I think a fair amount about what the popularization / normalization of plant medicine and psychedelics mean for our society.

One thing I see …

Andy Johns: The Inner Journey of a Growth Leader

by Scott

Today’s guest, Andy Johns, is someone I have followed since 2016 when I participated in a startup growth program called Reforge where he was a guest lecturer.

Listen on Itunes, Spotify, or Youtube.

I’m getting excited about how many business leaders I am seeing that are starting to engage in the inner work and the exploration of consciousness. It seems like there are more and more leaders everyday opening up about parts of their life outside of killin’ it.

In my opinion, Andy Johns is one of the most prolific startup growth executives in the past 10-15 years having been a leader at 8 consecutive billion dollar startups including Facebook, Twitter, Wealthfront, Quora, and others. He’s also helped lots of emergent growth leaders along the way as “growth” started to …

Becoming A Creator: The Journey to Becoming One of Them

by Scott

Oh man, am I really becoming one of these people!? Becoming a creator?

I’ve been experimenting with creating a lot of short form content both in video form on TikTok, Youtube shorts, and Instagram as well as Twitter. If you like my work and are on those platforms I encourage you to check it out using the links above.

**But promoting my stuff is not what this post is about.**

I’m going to be honest, I was quite hesitant to spend time on this stuff. Like does the world really need another talking head trying to become important? It’s why I’ve largely not participated in social media for the past few years.

However, against my own resistance, I kept getting guidance to try becoming a creator when my mind …

The Consciousness Conspiracy Unveiled: What’s Really Happening

by Scott

This Consciousness Conspiracy post was inspired after a conversation with my two good buddies Justin Mares and

Nat Eliason last week. They both have substacks The Next and Infinite Play worth checking out.

“Compassion is only possible when understanding is there” – Thich Hanh

A common theme I continue to notice amongst some people seemingly on the spiritual path is an interest in conspiracy.

It’s like there is some notion that there’s a small group of elites or aliens that are out there trying to undermine the majority of humanity from thriving.

Some examples in our society that they might cite are things like:

The new U.S. food guidelines created by the National Institute of Health which states that sugary cereal is better for you then an egg, and ice cream is better then a piece of beef.Censorship of vaccine researchers merely …
